Google Toolbar 7 for Internet Explorer brings Instant Search Posted: 26 Apr 2011 01:29 AM PDT Although many users don't like to see toolbars in their browser, Internet Explorer is still relying on them, so if you're an Internet Explorer users, you might be interested in the latest release of Google Toolbar.
This toolbar has several useful buttons for Google's services such as YouTube, Gmail, Google Earth, Orkut and several others. Another interesting feature that we have to mention is that Google Toolbar 7 keeps track of the buttons that you don't use and hides them behind the more button automatically. Google Toolbar loads instantly with Internet Explorer, and with Instant Search feature, this is a toolbar that you must try out if you're an Internet Explorer user. Rumor reminder: White iPhone 4s will be available this Wednesday Posted: 26 Apr 2011 01:00 AM PDT This is just a quick reminder plus rumor roundup of what's been happening with regards to the likely launch of iPhone 4 white version this week. The word is that Best Buy and Apple stores have been receiving new shipments of white iPhone 4s for the product launch this week. MacRumors has said the white models will be available as early as 27 April 2011. This comes after many speculated the the 27 April release was for the European market. 9to5mac has obtained screenshots from a Best Buy inventory control system showing clearly that they have in fact been receiving the new white models of the iPhone already. AppleInsider has also been reporting shipments of white iPhone 4s being received at Apple stores this week. I agree with many others that a white iteration of the iPhone 4 is not likely to sell very well. Many people do not like the white versions of the iPad and MacBooks and are unlikely to want a white iPhone 4. I guess we'll see over the next few weeks if the white models will launch and sell or if they will flop and have Apple scrambling to come up with a better offering. Hey, maybe if we're lucky and the launch fails horribly they'll push forward the A5 processor update early and release the iPhone 5 ahead of schedule. RockMelt browser now available for iOS Posted: 26 Apr 2011 12:50 AM PDT If you remember when we spoke of RockMelt, a web browser that is deeply integrated with social networking functions. Well, if you are RockMelt user already, you'll be pleased to hear that RockMelt is now available on the App Store.
Recently, Apple approved RockMelt for iOS and it's now available for download via the App Store. As for the mobile version of RockMelt it has some great features to offer, and one of which is synchronising between your mobile device and desktop computer. As soon as you login to the RockMelt on your iOS device, all your favorites, Facebook and Twitter feeds and even your settings will be transferred to the mobile app. Of course, standard RockMelt features are present so you'll be able to share all the things that you want with your Facebook and Twitter friends as you browse the internet. Unfortuantely tabbed browsing and private browsing are missing from the app, but we're expecting to see them in the near future. If you're not a RockMelt users, than you probably won't be interested in this app, but if you have RockMelt on your computer, you should definitely download this app for your iOS device. YouTube Copyright School teaches you a lesson about copyright infringement Posted: 25 Apr 2011 11:00 PM PDT Copyright infringement happens all the time, especially online, as you can guess YouTube is one site that will be particularly fussed about this, so they're now educating their users and punishing those users that are violating copyright laws.
Of course, if you violate someone's copyright, you'll get a strike, and if you repeat copyright infringement again, you'll get another strike, and after three strikes, you'll get your account suspended. Of course, it is possible that you get your strikes removed if you keep to good behavior. As you can see, this is quite the entertaining way to educate people about copyright infringement, but will it put an end to copyright issues on YouTube? Posted: 25 Apr 2011 12:52 PM PDT There has been a lot of rumor on the net regarding the design and the spec of the Apple iPhone 5. Here is another rumored white iPhone 5 picture published at the MIC Gadget. Although it was not certain whether it was a real iPhone 5 or a mockup, it was certainly not a white iPhone 4 that appeared in the UK last week. We can see that it has a larger display and edge to edge screen. This is consistent with the previous leaked iPhone 5 front panel we have seen. The following picture compares this device's front panel to the unofficial white iPhone 4 front panel. Since this white iPhone 5 image looks very similar to the white iPhone 4, it could be one of those iPhone 4S prototypes that Apple's reportedly been seeding to devs. [via Gizmodo] |
