Apple® recently announced their AirPrint™ technology, which enables wireless printing of emails, documents, presentations, photos, web pages, and more from iPad®, iPhone®, and iPod touch®.

What this means is with the latest software (Apple iOS 4.2 or later) users of these devices will be able to automatically find and print to an HP ePrint-enabled printer from select applications without the need to install drivers or download software. [1]

Connect your world with HP & AirPrint
Apple AirPrint works seamlessly with HP ePrint-enabled printers. With just a few taps on your Apple devices, you can go from viewing something onscreen to holding a printed copy.

What is the difference between Apple's AirPrint and HP ePrint?
HP ePrint is a free service from HP that allows you to print from any mobile devices to your Web connected printer over the Internet. It is as simple as sending an email to the email address assigned to your ePrint-enabled printer or multifunction devices. [3]

Apple's AirPrint uses your local wireless network to print directly from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to a local HP ePrint–enabled printer.

New printing possibilities with HP ePrint
Wireless printing through the unique AirPrint feature is available to users with the above Apple devices. But wireless printing is also available to all devices with e-mail capabilities. [2] HP ePrint-enabled printers will each have a unique email address that lets you send a job to the printer the same way you would send an email message. [3] As long as you can send an email from your mobile device or notebook, you can print to an HP ePrint-enabled printer or MFP. Simply send to the email address of an HP ePrint-enabled printer and collect your printed document. With HP ePrint, if you can email it, you can print it. [3]

Stay productive on the go
Mobility is vital in today's business world. Being able to work and communicate from a mobile device, such as a
Palm smartphone or an Apple iPhone, is increasingly becoming the new standard for professionals. With their easy portability and ever-expanding capabilities, mobile devices give you instant access to all kinds of information and content. However, larger documents, presentations, and PDF files can be difficult to read on small handheld device screens. With HP ePrint, you can easily print these documents from your mobile device. [3] You can use HP ePrint sitting on the couch at home, from the train on your way to work, or from a coffee shop on the other side of the country.

Do more with HP ePrint
HP ePrint-enabled printers are changing the way we print by allowing people to spend more time on business and less on setup and maintenance. One of the new HP ePrint-enabled printers is the
HP LaserJet Pro CM1415 Colour multifunctional printer. What can it do?
  • Prints crisp text and vivid color images, so you can produce professional-quality marketing materials yourself.
  • Makes printing more accessible to clients and mobile workers by allowing them to print to your office's HP ePrint-enabled device: simply provide them with the unique email address.
  • Makes printing faster and simpler than ever with a 3.5" color touchscreen control panel.
Then there's the HP Officejet Pro 8500A e-All-in-One printer, which packs in the same features and allows for up to 50% lower cost per page than laser printers. [4]
