EraThink EraPalm – combination of netbook and console Posted: 13 Apr 2011 07:18 AM PDT Looks good, but is misleading – the new EraThink EraPalm gadget is a console / PC hybrid it seems, but can do something else. Displayed recently at the China Consumer Electronics Fair, the portable gadget runs on Windows 7 and has a 5-inch capacitive touchscreen of 800 x 480 resolution with support up to 1080p videos. Under it, is hiding gracefully a simple sliding QWERTY keyboard, providing increased functionality. With a ethernet port too, this mobile phone like portable gadget allows wire internet connection.
The gaming console has four dedicated buttons and supports ?UMPC (we need to confirm this). No words about the price and timing of availability as yet. [via Engadget] |

There are a 3fps continuous shooting mode, so you will not lose anything, 5x optical zoom, and feature full HD recording in H.264, occupying less space on your SD card than the standard AVI file types. In addition, you can watch your videos directly on TV via HDMI. At 18.2mmm the Z900EXR is sufficiently thin enough to fit in your pocket and comes in black, red, pink and blue. Latest Nokia X7 smartphone announced Posted: 13 Apr 2011 01:05 AM PDT Since Nokia has announced its partnership with Microsoft, the company hasn't released any Windows Phone 7 device, but that doesn't mean that Nokia will stop working on new devices of their own. Now Nokia has announced two new Symbian based smartphones – the X7 and the E6.
The X7 is a touchscreen smartphone that is focused more on entertainment, and boasting a 4-inch 640×360 AMOLED touch display, its ideal for watching HD videos and will allow for an improved browsing experince. The new Nokia X7 will run on a new version of Symbian, which is know as Symbian Anna PR2. This new operating system has an improved on-screen keyboard, a better browser, an enhanced Ovi Map and so aims to provide an overall better user experience. The price for this new device will be around 380 Euros and it will be available in Q2, as to it's performances we'll just have to wait until its launched before we can provide any further comment. Gigabyte ECO600 – a new wireless mouse Posted: 12 Apr 2011 03:04 PM PDT Gigabyte is preparing to launch a new wireless laser mouse, by the name of ECO600. It measures 125 x 78 x42 mm and weighs 106 grams (excluding batteries, of course), uses the 2.4 GHz wireless connectivity, integrates a laser sensor of 800 – 1600 dpi and capable of processing at 3000 fps.
Other features of ECO600 wireless mouse include a rubberized coating for better grip, three blue LEDs that indicates the level of sensitivity and when you should change the batteries. Yet again, Gigabyte surprises us with this awesome mouse. The price is still unannounced. [via TechFresh] |

I'm sure that iPhone 4 owners will be thrilled to know that Apple is working on fixing these annoying problems. As rumors have it, the new update will be called iOS 4.3.2. It will be released in the next couple of weeks. The rumors have very few details, the only thing that we know so far are that Apple wants to improve security issues, fix a few bugs and also other enhancements. 23% of American students are addicted to internet Posted: 12 Apr 2011 05:20 AM PDT Internet has become a crucial part of our lives, but how many of us are actually addicted to Internet? Team of researchers has conducted a survey and here are the results. Folks from University of Maryland did a research related to internet addiction, and that research involved 1000 students from 10 different countries including United States, United Kingdom, and China. The participants had no internet access for 24 hours and some of them have shown withdrawal symptoms. As for the results, it seems that 23% of kids from United States and 22% from China are addicted to the internet. According to the survey, students are using internet for reading the news and the latest information. And without the internet connection, students aren't even trying to gather information on their own, therefore, it is positive that internet is vital source of information for students. The results suggested that tudents are dependent on constant internet connection for gathering of information, and as the technology and internet develops, we may see more cases of internet addiction among students.
